Revelation of Light

Abstract

Light symbolizes the truth, wisdom, and redemption of the universe. It has brought incredible transformations to humanity's cognitive breakthroughs, revealing all the mysteries of how everything in existence operates. Yet the light itself is on the verge of being engulfed by darkness. Though darkness converges in swarms around it, the light continues to radiate every last glimmer of its remaining brilliance. For light is, by its very nature, light—both merged with and independent of darkness. Is light free? Is it lonely? Or is it the truest of warriors, the embodiment of unyielding courage? The genuine hero who safeguards the Earth—this beam of light—will shine eternally across the cosmos, illuminating the boundless, endless, and infinite expanse of time and space where all words fall short, and one might as well let go and return to the great repose. People say light is good, but I say it is bad. Why? For all beings, all things in the world, and all living creatures in the universe—though they originally came from light, they grew up in darkness. They emerged from light, yet the turbidity of the world has gradually darkened their hearts. So why do I call light bad? Because the radiance of light shines upon people, upon all those living beings. That radiance blinds their eyes; it illuminates their souls, laying them bare. Thus, they fear light. They do not wish to become light, nor return to it. They only crave to sink endlessly in darkness forever. For them, light is bad—like a terrifying great demon king.
