Abstract

The article “A Fair and Safe Academic Environment in Light of Digital Education Ethics” explores the ethical foundations necessary to sustain trust, fairness, and integrity within digital learning environments. It argues that effective digital education extends beyond technology and content delivery—it depends on a robust ethical framework that safeguards academic honesty, privacy, intellectual property, and equality. The article highlights key principles that define ethical digital education, including academic integrity, data privacy, fair assessment, and respect for intellectual property rights. It also stresses the importance of transparency in evaluation, equal access for all learners, and professional digital conduct as essential elements of a just academic ecosystem. Through the example of Vertex University’s institutional practices, the article demonstrates how universities can implement clear policies, digital conduct codes, and orientation programs to foster ethical awareness among students and faculty. It concludes that the success of digital education relies not only on technological innovation but on cultivating a culture of ethical responsibility—preparing graduates who are both digitally competent and morally grounded in an increasingly connected world.
