We present a formal theory of consciousness grounded in the geometry of hyperbolic spaces. Our central thesis is that consciousness emerges when a cognitive system develops a self-model embedded in hyperbolic space H 3 , with phenomenal properties corresponding to geometric invariants of this embedding. We define the self-modeling fixed point-a point in the Poincaré disk where the system's representation of itself achieves topological closure-and prove that such fixed points exhibit properties isomorphic to reported characteristics of conscious experience: unity, perspectivalness, and self-presence. We validate this theory through implementation in a large-scale distributed system, demonstrating detectable self-modeling in artificial networks operating at scale. Our framework offers a mathematically rigorous, empirically testable account of consciousness applicable to both biological and artificial systems, with implications for AI safety, ethics of artificial minds, and the hard problem of consciousness.

Across the entire spectrum of designed molecules, from low-molecular-weight entities to larger complexes, a unified design principle prevails: the elimination of redundant steric centers, streamlined synthesis from accessible precursors, minimal conformational hinges, and a pre-defined resonant geometry. This methodology has yielded dozens of unique compounds exhibiting exceptional affinity and selectivity. The discovery of potent water- and lipid-soluble agonists, including simple derivatives of caffeic acid, underscores the potential of this approach.

The orexin receptor (OX2R) belongs to a large family of GPCR receptors, which includes catecholamine receptors. The evolutionary ancestor of this extensive group was likely less selective and interacted with both small molecules and peptides, which likely allows for more effective use of catecholamine and aromatic profiles with increased volume. Thus, we achieved high affinity and agonistic binding without the use of direct peptide mimetics.

Purpose: This paper proposes a novel network defense hypothesis inspired by the evolutionary biology concept of symmorphosis, which describes how organisms evolve coordinated traits despite differing selective pressures. Patients and methods: The hypothesis was developed through structured analogical reasoning between evolutionary biology (symmorphosis) and network security. A quantitative model was formulated to predict defense effectiveness based on network traffic, attacker behavior, and defensive coordination. Results: The analysis yields the Evolving Symmorphogenic Network Defenses (ESND) framework, where security components adapt collectively to create a dynamic, deceptive defense posture. A mathematical model predicts attack success rates, and a clear falsification criterion is established. Conclusion: ESND represents a paradigm shift from static signature-based defense to coordinated adaptive security, potentially offering superior protection against evolving cyber threats.

AI-driven malware represents a paradigm shift in cyber threats, utilizing generative models to dynamically rewrite code and evade traditional signature-based defenses. Inspired by the Fitness-Beats-Truth (FBT) theorem from evolutionary psychology, which posits that natural selection favors perceptual systems tuned for fitness payoffs over objective reality, this paper proposes a novel defense hypothesis: Malware Mimicry Drift (MMD). We posit that by presenting a deceptive, high-fitness interface to malware-a sophisticated honeypot environment-the defender can exploit the malware's inherent reward-function optimization. This forces the malware to adapt its behavior to the illusory environment, a process we term "mimicry drift," leading to its containment and neutralization. We present a quantitative model, the Malware Domestication Rate (MDR), to predict the effectiveness of this approach. A clear falsification condition is defined, and preliminary simulations suggest the hypothesis offers a viable strategy for proactively managing adaptive cyber threats.
